From cooperative Kangunu is our new Kenyan AA with crisp fruit acidity and lots of lively flavors of green citrus & black currant. The roastery have light-roasted the coffee, so that the acid literally jump in to the mouth. A coffee for those who like juicy, clear and elegant coffee.
Kangunu from Nyeri, which is a region where the original coffee farmers had to flee when colonialism came to Kenya. Lucky then that the maximum height and ideal soil in the Nyeri region is ideal for coffee cultivation.
Coffee from Nyeri often have a clearer citrus than coffee from farms closer to Nairobi. Tight acid is clear when the coffee is really hot but cools down with such elegance that eventually the cup of lukewarm taste of pure fruit juice.
Drink your coffee as espresso if you are extreme fanatics of acid, otherwise we recommend filter brewing, aeropress or bistro can.
